When creating unique polymer clay jewelry, sometimes all the components just come together as if they were meant for each other. This was very much the case when I was creating these lovely Rose Garden Earrings, in today’s Gallery presentation.
The main beads were made by mixing real rose petals with polymer clay. I think they go perfectly with the intricately designed silver plated caps, and antiqued silver-filled twisted rose ear wires. Then to round out the colors and the rose theme, a softly colored rose quartz dagger bead sways gently down under each of the earrings.
Wearing them is like being transported to a sweetly scented rose garden, on a warm Summer’s eve.

The Rose Garden Earrings are 2 1/4" long (5 cm) and the earwires are made using high quality nickel free Silver-Filled wire which is suitable for anyone who can wear Sterling Silver Earrings. They are displayed on a hand handcrafted custom jewelry card which has been signed by the artist… me, Cindy Lietz :)

I have a request, I’ve seen some fantastic canework where, for e.g, a flower appears not only on the background but to actually stand out from it. How is this done?

Been having trouble with my computer haven’t been able to watch last tute yet but hubby has worked on and will need to work some more. So talk about on edge to see a tute. That is suppose to be gone on Friday so you can imagine the tension here today.

I am writing to tell you that I made the ear-wire roses out of heavy gauge copper wire. They are about 2cm diameter. The end in the middle is a little stalk that is bent straight out at right angles. They look really good, not sure what I will do with them yet, but I think they would work well embedded in polymer clay in a brooch or pendant. I am going to antique them with liver of sulphur or ammonia. So, one idea leads to another…..

Love the Rose Garden earrings … I’m stl working on perfect the rose wire ear. Wires … I did like your suggestion of using a mirror. Because I am lefty. Used inexpensive wire I had in the house for practice …I think I have to buy a better pair of round nose pliers because I got my first set of jewelry tool in a cheap kit that had a beading board plus 3 different ones but they did not have smooth surfaces…..they leave marks on the jewelry …any sugggestion on a fairly inexpensive. It good brand that a local Micheals would carry… For now I put tape acrosss the teeth…..on good note… I just committed mu self Tou work by ordering 500 business cards and a t shirt with the same purple and flower that is on the business card…can’t wait to get it and wear if for mu first official. Craft show….I’ll let you guys know how it goes after
