Vintage Rose Polymerized Choker:
Romantic, airy and just plain beautiful!
This lovely, unique handcrafted choker is the perfect accessory for the woman with a romantic soul.
The delicate rose blossom that graces the center of this beautiful piece, was handmade with a piece of vintage fabric… Polymerized using my original art cloth technique.
The edges of the Polymerized Cloth were singed by the flame of a burning candle, before the material was formed into the delicate and light, yet durable polymer rose blossom.
Using an open weave pattern, the light and airy band of the choker was created with tiny shimmering glass beads and Garnet colored Soft Flex Wire, in a graceful open link design.
The ends of the necklace are finished using copper links, a hematite dangle and a copper lobster clasp. This choker is adjustable from 14" (36 cm) to 17 1/2" (43 cm) in length.

Tried small ones, torn from print mags in shades of red. Glued them all on a collaged background from the same medium. Great what you can do in bed these days!!!!
Makes a great lampshade, especially as the light shines through it. Dusty? Make a new one.

Cindy, I am really inspired by the Polymerized Fabric technique. I have been working on combining my love of fiber w/ my love of jewelry and polymer clay. This is the perfect marriage. Your Fabric Rose is wonderful!!

What a lovely piece! I love how you’ve made it into a romantic choker. I immediately thought of a 60’s flower child. I was trying to figure out how you did the band of the choker and was wondering how you made the individual circles and then I “got it”. Now I’m just wondering how you so seamlessly attached the band to the rose. You’ve thought of everything here – from the singed tips of the roses to the added interest of the iridescent bead on the band of the choker to the copper findings and hematite for the bauble at the back. Just beautiful!! That’s why you’re the teacher!!
