Badge Lanyard Project Using Polymer Clay Faux Turquoise Beads
With Polymer Clay You Can Make Faux Stone That Looks Very Genuine:
Over the last week or so, I have written several times about some ID lanyards I made for a custom order. The order has long left the studio, but since I’ve taken pictures of them all, I thought I would share another one with you.
The badge lanyard pictured above was created with faux turquoise beads made from polymer clay. This faux technique involved mixing and chopping up turquoise colored clays. The clay pieces were then covered with sand and paint, before getting lumped all together to make the turquoise beads.
It is a very messy process, but simple to do, and the effect is quite genuine looking.
My lanyard beads for this project are round nugget shapes. In a previous post I showed you a jewelry bracelet made with both the nuggets and some cube shaped faux turquoise beads which have a different look all together.
Are clay faux turquoise beads something that you would like to learn how to make? I’d love some feedback on this. Leave me a comment below with your thoughts! The level of response I receive for each of the jewelry and bead projects I post about, determines what sort of videos, end up getting created for the PcT Store. So your comments are kind of like votes.

@Diana: Seeing something done in video is way easier to understand than seeing it in a book. I look forward to sharing the technique with everyone.
