Is there a sweeter or more darling little flower than the Forget-Me-Not? Their teeny, tiny size, delicate color and charming name make it a naturally romantic symbol of everlasting love. That is why you will find the Forget-me-not flower used in Spring Weddings, Baby Showers and of course jewelry designs.

Hello everyone:
What a wonderful project to have while having a rainy weekend. I have satellite internet and when it is stormy most of the time – the coverage is stopped by heavy clouds. So, when I saw that we were going to use the Wilton Flower Set – I was all set to buckle down and try an idea I had.
I took some of my old canes and used the plungers (small and mediums) that Cindy suggested for the Forget me Not flowers and My Goodness – I spent two days using up some of those ole canes in a different way. I will have to email Cindy and send in some photos – some came out good, and some were just stiff and cracking for just being too old. Hmmm……sounds like me in the morning!

Hi Pauline, will check out your facebook album. I can’t remember which tute we used old, dry, cracked clay but I think it was one of the 26 thru current tutes. I just remember it was pretty neat. Maybe someone else out there can chime in and help us out.

Love these small flowers. This is an easy tute with lots of potential.
………….and two special Angels had been chosen to name all the flowers…………
“So many wonderful colors” said the first Angel.
“But these ones are covered in thorns” replied the second.
“I know, but touch the petals and feel how soft and smooth they are, I like the name Rose for these beautiful flowers. Do you agree?”
“Yes, I think that sounds just right. Now what about these tall spiky ones in these heavenly shades of blue?”
They deliberated for a long time and finally came up with the name Delphinium.
“This seems to be taking a lot longer than we thought, but we must get it right.” said the second Angel. So they worked even harder, choosing names that they thought suited every flower.
“Well, I think that’s the last one” said the first Angel, but just then a tiny blue flower reached up as tall as it could and said “Please forget me not”
“Oh, said the second Angel. “What a lovely name for this tiny teeny flower”.
So as you all know this flower is called the FORGET ME NOT to this day.

I finally read the book inclosed. So many choices -so little time. Even a huge Calla Lily. This was a good investment – The Gum Paste Flower Set. Thanks for showing us how to create so many varieties of flowers.
This flower has so many possibilities, and colorways…………….hm……….”grin”
FYI- I found the setting for the flowers was too fragile for a bracelet -I’m not too gentle with stuff – so I upped the setting one turn. The are easier to punch out, too. Your mileage may vary…………..
Hi Patt, like I just mentioned to Paige in a comment up above… if you use a strong clay like Premo, your clay is properly conditioned and your pieces are baked at the right temp (265F -275F) for the right amount of time (1 hr) then you shouldn’t have any problems with breakage with this bead shape or the suggested thickness, unless you are really rough with your jewelry. If your pieces are breaking, I would say that one of those things has gone wrong. Are you using an Oven thermometer, to make sure your temp is actually what you think it is? That is usually the most common problem.
I use my thermometer – always. I just , on purpose, broke a couple of the beads. They broke easily. I do condition well. Just my thoughts, because I lurch around -bump into things, that sort of thing.LOL
I cure at 265 for an hour. Preheat the oven and ALWAYS check the thermometer. I only use Premo.
So it is just a personal thing………….;=}
Hmmm still sounds a little weird Patt. I just broke one of mine on purpose too and it took about 5 or 6 really good bends back and forth before it broke. Maybe you should try pushing the temp up to 275F and test that? Your oven may be dropping below 265F for a fair amount of the baking and not really registering on the thermometer. Just a thought. It would be good if your pieces had less chance of breaking.
My oven is 6 yrs old. It’s a Black & Decker Convection oven. Could be my thermostat is probably breaking down. Sigh -if it isn’t one thing its another. I will watch it more closely and up the temp to 275. Don’t need stuff breaking. It did take quite a lot of bending before it broke. Maybe I’m being over careful.
My forget-me-nots are so pretty. Think I will cover a picture frame with them. My granddaughter would look lovely in it !!

been sorting and cleaning All The boxes, bins, drawers and shelves in our spare room where I keep my polymer clay stuff for what seems like months but really has only been a couple of weeks…….
anyway my point is I'm ready with a bunch of pretty color clay bits that would make a nice mixed color bracelet :)
And now for some SAD NEWS – I have LOST one of my clover earring beads ! Happened the other day trying on dresses to wear to my B-I-Laws wedding went back and looked everywhere even inside the rejected dresses….hmmm 3 hours for another set.
And now for some GREAT NEWS – About this time last year my mom was very sick and I ask for prayers and good thoughts to be sent her way…. Its been a hard journey for her BUT I am so happy to report she is well on her way to recovery. Thank you all very much for your support. Today is her birthday too <3

I am wondering though, what keeps the flowers from breaking and chiping? These flowers look so fragile. I would just be so heart broken if I broke them while I was wearing this. An as far as Mother’s Day, as far as I know, we do celebrate Mother’s Day in Canada the same day as the States. I think in England theirs is in an entirely different month, but I’d have to Google that to be sure.

Oh Boy!!! Love these little treasures. I had planted some seeds in the garden and every year I would look to see where they had traveled. the wind would spread their seeds and it was always and pleasant surprise. What great fun this tute will be!
