1B – Tuscan Sun
2B – Roma Tomato
3B – Villa Rosa
4B – Italian Olive
With a beautiful water jug like this, visions of an Italian Villa in Tuscany come to mind. This pitcher is actually one of many in a collection started over 22 years ago when Doug and I got married. He always said he wanted a women with jugs. So I guess his wish came true [ROTFLOL].
OK so now that you have got up off the floor from laughing so hard at my questionable humor, you may recognize the piece of Tuscan pottery from another photo in a previous post. Just for fun, does anyone remember which post that was?
Why don’t we have a little contest. Go ahead and find the photo and then jot down the date of the article on a piece of paper. Then post a comment below, saying that you found it. BUT DON’T reveal the date. That would just give it away for everyone else.
Your comment on this page will serve as your official entry into the drawing. I found this cool little app for randomly selecting contest winners, that I’ve been itch’n to try out.
So let’s see… what could the prize be? How about this. I’ll give away the four color recipe cards from any B-Series Back Issue color palette that you may have missed out on. I get a lot of emails asking for these back issue recipes, so there’s likely at least a few of you who would appreciate winning.
By the way, the color recipes for each of the 4 colors in today’s Tuscan Pottery Color Palette, will be released during the month of July in Volume-014 [B-series]. Everyone who is subscribed to my Polymer Clay Guest List will be able to download them for free:
- Tuscan Sun (Recipe 014-1B)
- Roma Tomato (Recipe 014-2B)
- Villa Rosa (Recipe 014-3B)
- Italian Olive (Recipe 014-4B)
These warm yellow, red, plum rose and olive colors remind me of the Tuscan inspired kitchen designs that are so popular right now. As you can see, the names I’ve given to the colors all have a ‘taste of Italy’.
Tuscan Sun is the main color of this jug. Roma Tomato is on the handle and rim. The plum rose shade in the decorated trim, is Villa Rosa. And Italian Olive represents the darker stamped trim detail.

Thanks for the nice comments, Ken! I think the only thing I’m missing is the kitchen sink!
WOW!!!!! Turning VERY green right now. Ahhhhh, someday. Beautiful workspace.
Two Things:
1) Catalina sent in a wonderful article about her studio with tons of close up photos. I will share everything in an upcoming Spotlight Feature. But to tide you over, here’s a sneak peak of her amazing work space.
2) Wanted to let you know that Lynn Watts chose the Vol-12 Curiosity Cactus Color Recipe palette for her prize. She is dealing with some health issues of a close family member right now and was not able to post herself. But she wanted to say thanks to those who expressed congratulations. Our prayers go out to you Lynn.

Thanks everyone for the congratulations and the encouragement. I will try to take a couple pics later today just to give you an idea what I have to work with. Then I will zip them off to Cindy in an email. Just remember, its a work in progress, and progress has been slooow!! LOL. XOXO Jamie
I almost forgot, Dec 24, 2008, date of the blog post where the contest photo was originally posted. Oh,the hard part begins, picking which back issue I want. Thanks again everyone for all your warm congrats. Lynn Watts
Thanks everyone for all the congrats. I am so excited and I am going to have a hard time choosing the ones I want. God has looked after me once again. I have not won anything in years. The last time I won something was when I guessed how much candy was in a large bowl in a pharmacy store in N.C. Lynn Watts
@Ken and Jocelyn: Thanks for sending encouragement to Jamie! I think we would all love to see the progress of her studio!
@Jamie: It would be fun even to see the empty room. It’s all about the potential! :-)
@Joyce: That’s is nice of you to offer Jamie your congrats!
@Maureen: That is a great way of looking at it!
@Catalina: That would be fantastic to get your studio pics! I’ll email you directly with my email. Don’t forget to send some words along with the pictures, describing the photo, any inspirations you have, or favorite things about your studio and working with polymer clay. The more the info you can pass along with them the better!
Congrats Lynn on winning the contest!! Sorry, I’m a little behind here. I was sick but much better now. Since you guys are talking studios I thought I would share mine. Do I send you, Cindy, the photos to post? I have a unique set up with my own Art Director!

Congratulations Lynn! That’s the first contest I was in and I had a good time looking at all the old postings, so I feel like I won anyway! lol
Congrats Lynn on winning the contest and much happiness to your son, Jamie, and his lovely bride for the future.
Well it isnt pictures yet, but it might help with organizing. Harbor freight is having a big sale right now. And they have lots and lots of cool compartmented containers on sale. I went and bought a bunch and Im thinking of getting more. Especially the neat box with 24 little boxes inside. How more perfect for beads can you get? XOXO Jamie
Jamie, congrats! How wonderful for you that your son found himself a lovely bride!
Agree with Ken, once you have that studio going, please share it with us as part of a “spotlight” segment. Each studio I see gives me more and better ideas as to how to arrange my own raggedy little area.
Would appreciate any and all folks sharing their work space with us. Just so much fun to glimpse in and see where the art is created!
Also Lynn congrats on winning the contest!
Sounds great, looking forward to that. Might just give us a few ideas for our own design for studios.
I would love to send you pics. But really all you would see is tons of craft stuff, in tons of boxes, in an otherwise empty room. Oh and a table. I love my antique 50’s table! All green and pink, hahaha! But very sturdy. The only thing “new” in the room so far is the paint on the walls and the carpet. Oh and the air conditioner. Thank you hubby! I gotta have that to be on the second floor in the summer here. Maybe when it gets a little farther along I will take a few pics for you, ok? XOXO Jamie
I sure would. For me it would also entail two rooms, finishing the basement to become a bedroom and then taking my current bedroom and converting it to a craft studio, a shared crafting space with mom who lives with me.
