- Mega shopping event at Shipwreck Beads in Lacey, Washington.
- I am tired (and look it) because this place is amazingly huge!
- Stopped in at the Polymer Clay Aisle to do some filming.
- In this aisle, there is Premo Polymer Clay, Sculpey Tools, lots of jewelry making tools, Gilder’s Paste, Renaissance Wax, texture sheets and rubber stamps.
- I picked up one stamp item that was called… molding mat primitive totem blocks. It was recommended to me by Becky Sue Mizell, a PcT student and friend.
- I show you just some stuff in my overflowing cart: TierraCast Findings, Mini-Macrame Board, 1-Step Big Looper, Bone Hair Sticks, Vintage Glass Seed beads, Neon Pink Seed bead Hanks, Hair Clips, Fire Brick, Necklace Sizer, Lindstrom Shears.
- Also in the cart were many other items I did not have time to show: ChainSta, Renaissance Wax, Gilder’s Paste, Fire Polish Crystals, raku beads, waxed linen cord, Chinese Knotting Cord, TierraCast Rivet tables and Rivets, Beading Needles, and much more!

00:00:03 –> 00:00:08 Hi guys, its Cindy Lietz, your Polymer Clay Tutor, and today on the PcT Road Trip, I am
00:00:08 –> 00:00:12 just finished shopping here at Shipwreck Beads, in Lacey Washington.
00:00:12 –> 00:00:18 And I am tired ‘cause this place is amazingly huge, but I thought I’d stop here in the
00:00:18 –> 00:00:25 Polymer clay aisle because…that’s a good spot to stop, of course, they carry Premo
00:00:25 –> 00:00:32 clay, they have quite a few tools and rubber stamps and things, they’ve got Renaissance
00:00:32 –> 00:00:35 Wax and Gilders Paste…which I got some more of.
00:00:35 –> 00:00:40 Oh one little thing I got was one of these little rubber stamps, and actually, Becky
00:00:40 –> 00:00:44 Sue said, “When you’re at Shipwreck Beads, pick up one of these little rubber stamps
00:00:44 –> 00:00:48 they’ve got, they’re perfect for making earrings and little pins and stuff.”
00:00:48 –> 00:00:56 So I thought I’d better get one, I also got all kinds of different findings and things,
00:00:56 –> 00:01:03 and some of it, I’m gonna be doing tutorials on, some, I’m gonna be doing vlogs on, and
00:01:03 –> 00:01:04 videos.
00:01:04 –> 00:01:10 I’ve got some really nice Tierra Cast findings here, that would be perfect for putting some
00:01:10 –> 00:01:18 Polymer clay in, some different sizes, here’s some open back ones and a bunch of different
00:01:18 –> 00:01:23 ones in here, and they’ve got this little system if you’ve got to pick out things
00:01:23 –> 00:01:28 from all of their tiny little drawers, you just write the number of the code that’s
00:01:28 –> 00:01:35 on the bin and then you put your little number on…and I see I missed the number on that
00:01:35 –> 00:01:37 one, there.
00:01:37 –> 00:01:44 And then I’ve got a new Macramé board, let’s see what else, for…I was gonna do
00:01:44 –> 00:01:52 some micro Macramé for some bracelets and stuff that we can put some Polymer clay beads
00:01:52 –> 00:01:53 into.
00:01:53 –> 00:02:00 I’ve got some tools, things like the new Big…Big 1 Step Looper…I’ve got the small
00:02:00 –> 00:02:02 one, I’ll show you a demo on that, ‘cause those are neat.
00:02:02 –> 00:02:09 I’ve got some beading needles, oh another thing that they have here that’s really
00:02:09 –> 00:02:16 beautiful and neat, I think would be great for Polymer clay, they are bone hair sticks,
00:02:16 –> 00:02:21 and you can…they’ve got a hole on the end of them, and you can wire on beads and
00:02:21 –> 00:02:25 all kinds of things, I think I would like to attach Polymer clay to those, I’ve got
00:02:25 –> 00:02:27 them in a few different colors.
00:02:27 –> 00:02:35 I’ve got some…oh remember the beautiful vintage seed beads we found… saw in the
00:02:35 –> 00:02:42 back warehouse, well, here I’ve got a few little packages of them, and I guess, somewhere
00:02:42 –> 00:02:48 in here, are some pink ones that are just really lovely…ah, they’re buried, also
00:02:48 –> 00:02:54 got some gorgeous hot pink fluorescent beads, I think those will be really fun to mix in
00:02:54 –> 00:03:01 with some Polymer clay work, get some of the work to really pop, got some hair…pieces…things.
00:03:01 –> 00:03:09 I’ve got a fire brick for soldering on, I’ve been using a regular brick and the
00:03:09 –> 00:03:14 brick is cracking, so I wanted to be able to use the real thing, so I finally got that.
00:03:14 –> 00:03:22 What else did I get, oh a few other cool things, there is a necklace sizer.
00:03:22 –> 00:03:23 Oh and this is…
00:03:23 –> 00:03:29 I’ve been waiting for this, it’s a Lindstrom…they’re Lindstrom shears, and they’re for cutting
00:03:29 –> 00:03:37 sheet metal, Copper, up to 18 gauge, I believe, and they are a really high quality tool and
00:03:37 –> 00:03:40 I’ve been dying to have it, so I finally got that.
00:03:40 –> 00:03:44 So there’s lots of good stuff in here, I hope you are enjoying what you’re seeing
00:03:44 –> 00:03:45 here.
00:03:45 –> 00:03:49 You will love this shop if you get a chance to come down here and see it, or if you go
00:03:49 –> 00:03:50 online.
00:03:50 –> 00:03:55 And if you have…if you saw anything here that you want me to demo first, or do tutorials
00:03:55 –> 00:03:58 on, do let me know in the comment section below.
00:03:58 –> 00:04:02 And also, if you liked this video, let me know in the comments.

Cool, looking fwd to it. Has me very intrigued. Thanks will go looking for supplies.
I’ve been looking at micro macrame for a while now, just haven’t got into it and then u say you are going to do a tute, how cool is that! I have one question/request, if I may. Can u tell me how many colours you’ll be using and what type of cord? This is so that I can order some and be ready, as I may have to order from the states.
Thanks heaps
Sandra from New Zealand
Hi Sandra, for this project I will be teach just simple macrame (nothing too micro) but do plan to do some micro-macrame projects in the future. I am just using 1mm waxed linen cord in black, but you could use any 1mm or smaller cord that you like. I will also be using a a toggle clasp and some 6/0 seed beads, in addition to some gold polymer clay, chalk pastels, a rubber stamp, the mini-macrame board (optional) and some Renaissance Wax. It is a great project that looks great on both men and women (depending on the style of clasp you use.) I hope that gives you enough info without giving the project away. :)
Thanks Cindy for sharing all your goodies with us. Looks like you found some neat stuff to work with later on. The micro macrame looks kind of interesting. Please share if you do a project with it. Have fun with your treasures!
I will Dixie Ann! (Both have fun with my treasures, and come up with some micro-macrame projects. Already have a simple project in the works, but plan to have even more in the future. It pairs so nicely with polymer clay!)
Hi Cindy!
I would love to see a tutorial with a project using micro-macrame techniques :). I do regular macrame using hemp, but I’ve been curious about the micro type ever since I bought a bracelet in Australia that uses it. The bracelet is brown cording with jade type fetish animals on it. Very cute. I’d love to see what you’ll come up with for your tutorial. Your design ideas are so fresh and charming!
Thanks Karen! I will be doing a macrame bracelet tutorial next. I’ll be started with a simple design with some very cool beads… but I think doing some more intricate micro-macrame projects in the future would be very fun!
Cindy, would love to see what you come up with for the bone hairsticks. Great stash of goodies. The necklace measurer looks like a great item, too.
I have been thinking about the hair sticks and what to do with them. Maybe something for spring? Bet those Cymbidium Orchids we did would look great on those sticks. Would just need to put some thought into how to wire them on.
I’ll do a demo on the necklace measure tool sometime. It is pretty handy when trying to figure out how a necklace will fit.
What a great haul Cindy! I absolutely love my Lindstrom shears and that macrame board is great too. I find that I use it all the time, not just for macrame either! Can’t wait to see what you make with all your cool stuff!
I do too Kelsy! It always pays to get good quality tools whenever possible. The Lindstrom shears cut through metal like butter! I already have a tutorial figured out for the macrame board so you’ll get to see the intro for that soon. Getting new supplies and tools can really get the creative juices flowing! (On a side note, are you guys getting in anymore of those Totem stamps I showed in the video? I see they are now sold out.)
