00:00:25 –> 00:00:32 Some are sent to me and some I buy myself but over time, I get a good feeling for what

00:00:42 –> 00:00:44 say oh so have you, you know are you still using that.

00:00:44 –> 00:00:48 So I thought I would do this every year at the end of the year.

00:00:48 –> 00:00:53 What my favorite products were and what I use the most this year so I’m going to go

00:00:53 –> 00:00:57 through a bunch of different things here, I’ve got 12 of them that I’d like to show

00:01:05 –> 00:01:11 I used them a ton of time this year, that’s what I’m trying to say, OK, so the first one

00:01:13 –> 00:01:17 Now, it’s not sitting here because it would have been a pain to have try to haul it over

00:01:17 –> 00:01:22 to the spot besides, it was too big but I’ve already done a video on it that you can go

00:01:43 –> 00:01:52 the right size for me, it’s big enough but not too small and it’s got it– because the

00:01:52 –> 00:01:57 temperature has been absolutely consistent and I have put hours and hours on that machine

00:01:57 –> 00:02:03 every time I baked polymer clay, I put bake it for an hour so every single batch has been

00:02:03 –> 00:02:06 in there for you know, an hour and I’ve got hours and hours put through it and I love

00:02:06 –> 00:02:11 it still is staying consistent, it’s a beautiful machine so that is one of my favorites this

00:02:11 –> 00:02:13 year for sure.

00:02:13 –> 00:02:22 Another one that I got a lot of use out of this year is this We R Memory Keepers Glass

00:02:22 –> 00:02:23 Cutting Mat.

00:02:23 –> 00:02:27 Now, it was designed for the Scrapbooking Industry but it’s absolutely perfect for polymer

00:02:27 –> 00:02:34 clay, you can leave your raw polymer clay sitting on here and it’s not going to leach

00:02:34 –> 00:02:40 out into anything because you know, it’s non porous, its being glass and there are a few

00:02:40 –> 00:02:44 things that I really love about this design first of all it’s a nice workable size, it

00:02:44 –> 00:02:50 is 13 inches by 13 inches, it’s got a great grid on here so you can cut some nice straight

00:02:50 –> 00:02:57 lines, because it’s glass it’s– you can cut right on it with Exacto Blade or your tissue

00:02:57 –> 00:03:01 blades, clay knives and that kind of thing, cookie cutters, you can slide your blade underneath

00:03:01 –> 00:03:06 it along, it’s nice and smooth, you can use paints and inks and all kinds of stuff and

00:03:06 –> 00:03:09 just clean it right up with a baby wipe.

00:03:09 –> 00:03:18 I love this machi– this piece of glass is beautiful, done a video on that as well another

00:03:18 –> 00:03:28 thing that I have loved this year is my Atlas 150 Wellness Pasta Machine, it has the anodized

00:03:28 –> 00:03:32 aluminum rollers which means that there’s no black streaking.

00:03:32 –> 00:03:38 I’ve had zero black streaking this whole entire year that I’ve had it.

00:03:38 –> 00:03:42 I haven’t seen and you have to kind of look underneath to see if there’s any clay build

00:03:42 –> 00:03:45 up, I’ve had no clay build up from underneath.

00:03:45 –> 00:03:47 The gears have worked beautifully.

00:03:47 –> 00:03:53 Now, there have been a couple of people that I’ve– I heard that have ordered these after

00:03:53 –> 00:03:58 seeing my video last time and had a couple problems with it but in– I think they’ve

00:03:58 –> 00:04:03 sent them back and got that rectified but I have absolutely loved my machine and had

00:04:03 –> 00:04:07 zero issues with it and have been very happy about that purchase.

00:04:07 –> 00:04:16 OK, so another thing that I have used a lot and really love this year is the Lucy Clay

00:04:16 –> 00:04:25 Czextruder, it’s a clay extruder that this happens to be the XXL so it’s the extra large

00:04:25 –> 00:04:32 one basically, it is the barrel on it is just around eight inches long you put these discs

00:04:32 –> 00:04:40 in it and you can extrude the clay out, it is so strong and the gears on it are beautiful.

00:04:40 –> 00:04:46 I’ve done a better video on it that you can check it out but that not the gears but the

00:04:46 –> 00:04:49 threads on it are really strong, super durable.

00:04:51 –> 00:04:57 Now, I have the hand-crank attached to it right now because often, I just need a little

00:04:57 –> 00:05:01 piece of extruded clay so the hand crank is just the easiest thing to do and I could just

00:05:01 –> 00:05:07 grab onto and crank a little bit of clay out but I– also if I’m doing a large cane like

00:05:07 –> 00:05:15 the Christmas Sweater Cane I did last year, then I would just hook up the adapter for

00:05:15 –> 00:05:23 the power drill and I could crank it out, oh I wish I had had this extruder when I did

00:05:23 –> 00:05:31 that– that tutorial back then because I ended up breaking the– the extruder that I had

00:05:31 –> 00:05:32 at the time.

00:07:40 –> 00:07:47 a dryer feel to it because it has a bit of a– a suede-type finish.

00:07:47 –> 00:07:52 Now that some people have said well it’s not really suede not like a sweet pair of boots

00:07:52 –> 00:07:57 more like ultra suede so that super smooth kind of suede that’s got a little bit of a

00:07:57 –> 00:08:01 bumpy texture, it’s just a really beautiful clay to work with.

00:08:01 –> 00:08:07 It is not really based on the artists pigment colors is more designer colors that they have

00:08:07 –> 00:08:17 so the color mixing is a little bit I– it’s not quite as intuitive but you can mix a beautiful

00:08:17 –> 00:08:22 colors with it there’s a huge line of them, I think 20, I don’t know, 30 colors or something,

00:11:16 –> 00:11:17 into the clay, roll them in and you get this wonderful textured clay. Now, the designs

00:11:17 –> 00:11:18 are specific particularly unique and detailed. I really love these rollers, you’ll want to

00:11:18 –> 00:11:19 check out the other video for that because I’ve got samples of each of these rolled out

00:11:19 –> 00:11:20 to show you how the clay is actually textured. They are really stunning and just a little

00:11:20 –> 00:11:21 side tip I found some of these acrylic boxes from this is actually an iPod box from quite

00:11:21 –> 00:11:22 a while ago and an iPhone case and they were perfect for storing my rollers and stamps

00:11:22 –> 00:11:23 in. Now, another tool that I really love. Now, this is kind of one of those tools that

00:11:23 –> 00:11:24 you may not need but you will really love if you have it, unless of course you’ve got

00:11:24 –> 00:11:25 a mobility issue in your hands and then you might find it an absolute godsend because

00:11:25 –> 00:11:26 what it does is, I’ll turn it a little bit it’s called the NEVERKnead and it’s quite

00:11:26 –> 00:11:27 heavy, it’s a big machine, pretend this is a unwrapped block of clay you just squash

00:11:27 –> 00:11:28 it down using the arm here and you can condition your clay really quickly and it’s wonderful

00:11:28 –> 00:11:30 for conditioning really stiff and hard clay and especially if you have arthritis, carpal

00:11:30 –> 00:11:36 tunnel syndrome and other kinds of mobility issues. You can absolutely save your hands

00:11:36 –> 00:11:42 with something like this. One use that I use it like I don’t condition a big masses of

00:11:42 –> 00:11:47 clay a ton of time so originally I had set this off to the side of it but then I found

00:11:47 –> 00:11:54 that every time I was rolling out a sheet of clay for my Pasta Machine I’d really want

00:11:54 –> 00:11:59 to warm up that clay even if it had been conditioned and I’d want to flatten it right out and I

00:11:59 –> 00:12:03 use this tool all the time so it came right back to my counter top and use it every day

00:12:03 –> 00:12:09 but I like to squash it down so it’s thin enough to run through my Pasta Machine without

00:12:09 –> 00:12:19 you know making my Pasta Machine have to work so hard, so I use this to all the time. Here

00:12:19 –> 00:12:25 is another tool that I really really love, it is something that I would not have without

00:12:25 –> 00:12:34 in my studio again. It is the 7-inch titanium snips, I believe they’re called they’re made

00:12:34 –> 00:12:39 by Tim Holtz and Tonic and they are usually in the scrap booking section you can get them

00:12:39 –> 00:12:43 just about everywhere now but I found these ones that Michaels and in fact, I picked up

00:12:43 –> 00:12:49 a second pair so I can have them in my other studio. These are a pair of scissors that

00:12:49 –> 00:12:52 it– if your family steals your scissors and cut something they’re not supposed to cut

00:12:52 –> 00:12:58 with, they won’t wreck your scissors. You can cut anything with them. They have a very

00:12:58 –> 00:13:05 fine micro serrated edge which will leave little serration mark so if it’s– if you

00:13:05 –> 00:13:09 want to do super fancy cutting like, what they call it, fussy cutting and stuff if you’re

00:13:09 –> 00:13:16 doing fine paper work where the little serrations on the edge would show then you might not

00:13:16 –> 00:13:21 want to use these scissors for that but other than that, you can use it to cut leather,

00:13:21 –> 00:13:34 chipboard, fabric, wire, thin metal, foil, cork they cut duct tape beautifully because

00:13:34 –> 00:13:40 the tape won’t– the gummy stuff won’t stick to the– to the blades so I just absolutely

00:13:40 –> 00:13:44 love these and you can snap this little protector on and just keep them, they’re perfect for

00:13:44 –> 00:13:49 the studio and also, the nice part, about the size of the hands and the flexibility

00:13:49 –> 00:13:56 here, I have quite wide hands, my hands are quite broad, my fingers are quite wide and

00:13:56 –> 00:14:02 I find scissors quite uncomfortable quite often and these are great and Tim Holtz being

00:14:02 –> 00:14:07 a guy, probably had those similar issues as well and he– and even if you have a small
